"What a warm welcome!"

The welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the family-run La Certosa made our honeymoon here a period of beautiful calm. The staff were both entertaining and accomodating; serving a quality of traditional food above that of the surrounding establishments (despite some of them enjoying a more high-profile status).

The isolated location, which may not suit some, is a haven for walkers and water lovers. There are many attractive hillside paths to explore the dramatic coastline of the area, and this can even more easily be viewed from the sea on one of the many charter boats. The hotel is happy to provide information and assistance in arranging activities in the area, but the small shingle beach in front of the hotel, and under their umbrellas, is perhaps the best place to view the activities of others as the evening rush of boats to the quay is slowly swallowed by the shadows of the hills. This is a place to relax.

We had a fantastic time and it was in a large part down to the welcome we received at La Certosa.
